Four-Star DL Nasir Johnson flips to Georgia
Four-star defensive lineman Nasir Johnson of Dublin (GA) High flipped his commitment from Florida to Georgia Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 315 pounder had been committed to the Gators since June.
“I just feel like since UGA has the better background with producing and developing,” Johnson said. “I would be better off there and want to be developed to the point where I’m league ready by the time I leave college. I wanna be another one of those first round draft picks that Georgia is producing.”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.
“You know coach Scott for sure is my guy and coach Smart as well. They’re down to earth and tell it how they see it. They knew what they had planned for me and what they wanted me for.”
