Fairfax (Va.) linebacker Tony Rojas has yet to receive an offer from Georgia, but he’ll head to Athens later this week with the possibility of earning one.

Rojas is the No. 207 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 15 linebacker and the No. 3 prospect in Virginia.

On3 is a good bit higher on Rojas than the rest of the recruiting industry, according to the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, Rojas was tabbed as the country’s No. 157 prospect and No. 11 linebacker.

The Bulldogs will have some serious ground to make up, though, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). It gives Penn State a 93.8 percent chance of securing Rojas’ commitment, with an expert prediction in from BlueWhiteIllustrated’s Ryan Snyder.

Rojas is fresh off a visit to Clemson last week and is expected to visit Penn State again after he sees Georgia. However, following an unofficial visit to Clemson back on March 5, which resulted in an offer, the Tigers may be emerging as Penn State’s main competitor.

“Yeah, I think it did,” Tony Rojas told Snyder, when asked if the Clemson offer had a big impact on him. “It’s one of the biggest [schools], and when I went down there, the coaches, the facility and just the people [left a good impression]. It made a big change on my position with all of this.”

Georgia will look to do the same this week. The Bulldogs don’t currently have a commitment at the position and aren’t currently considered the favorite for any of the top targets on their linebacker board, per the RPM.
