Four-star offensive tackle Nyier Daniels of Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic High announced his commitment to Georgia Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-8, 370 pounder chose the Bulldogs over Texas, Florida State, and Rutgers.

The Garden State offensive tackle joins coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs’ No. 1 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV.

Nyier Daniels Scouting Summary

“Behemoth offensive tackle prospect with intriguing upside due to his massive frame and above average movement skills. One of the biggest prospects in the 2024 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-8 370 pounds prior to his senior season. Has elite length and a very large frame with arms that measure around around 36 inches and hands that exceed 11 inches. Has continued adding weight heading into his senior season. Primarily lines up at left tackle for New Jersey powerhouse Bergen Catholic. A bully in the run game. Mows opposing defensive linemen as a drive blocker. Has rare body quickness for a lineman of his size. Shows fluidity in his movements and very good ankle flexion for such a big lineman. Further along as a pass blocker at this stage. Has a tendency to bend at the waist and lunge in pass protection. Has a tendency to play high and will need to work on his pad level. Does not register as a top athlete in the limited athletic testing data available. Will likely need time to reshape his body once in a college strength program. Younger for the cycle, turning 18 years-old weeks before his first college game.”

Daniels ranks as the No. 160 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 13 offensive tackle and the No. 2 player in the state of New Jersey.

On3 ranks him higher than the industry, as he ranks as the No. 122 player nationally, the No. 15 offensive tackle, and the No. 3 player in New Jersey.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $82K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
