Four-Star WR Tyler Williams commits to Georgia
Four-star wide receiver Tyler Williams of Lakeland (Fla.) High announced his commitment to Georgia Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-4, 207 pounder chose the Bulldogs over Miami, Clemson, South Carolina, and Texas A&M.
Williams on why he chose Georgia
“At first on my visit I felt welcomed like I was at home,” Williams said. “Then, once the season started, I saw everything I needed to. They arguably have the best offense in college football and develop you as a complete person, not just in football.”
Relationship with coaching staff stood out + Georgia’s plan for Tyler Williams
“I have a great relationship with all of the coaches, but I feel like I have the best relationship with coach BMac,” Williams said. “They plan on using me both inside and outside, as well as on special teams. I feel like I can be used as a weapon anywhere.
The Sunshine State wide receiver joins coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs’ No. 2 class in the 2023 team rankings. He is accompanied by Raylen Wilson, A.J. Harris, and others.

Tyler Williams Scouting Summary
“Former basketball-first athlete who blossomed as a wide receiver after transferring to powerhouse Lakeland High as a junior,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Has a natural, well-rounded skill set at receiver. A big, fluid mover at around 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Has plus length for the position with 33.5-inch arms. Draws on his basketball background to win at the catch point. High-points and attacks the ball in contested situations. Shows good lateral agility and spatial awareness as a runner after the catch. Continues to be a top basketball player, averaging over 15 points per game as a junior. Will need to continue progressing in the technical aspects of his game given his lack of football focus to this point.”
Williams currently ranks as the No. 53 player in the On300 Rankings. He also tabs in as the No. 7 wide receiver and the twelfth-best player in the state of Florida.
