WATCH: Georgia QB commit Gunner Stockton breaks touchdown record
Tiger (Ga.) Rabun County quarterback Gunner Stockton has put his stamp all over the Georgia high school state record books. But the 2022 Georgia commit broke one of the state’s most significant records Friday night, passing Houston Texans signal-caller Deshaun Watson on the career touchdowns list.
Stockton, the nation’s No. 44 overall prospect in the 2022 class according to the industry-generated On3 Consensus, tied the record on a screen pass earlier in the game.

Watson set the record in 2013 with 218 total touchdowns in his illustrious career at Gainesville High, but the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Stockton put his name at the top with a long, second-quarter touchdown pass.
The touchdown was his third of the night through the air, to go along with one rushing score earlier in the first quarter. The four-star signal-caller committed to Kirby Smart and Co. all the way back in January, and he’s one of the centerpieces of the Bulldogs’ top-five recruiting class.
