Georgia 5-star QB commit Dylan Raiola shines in playoff win

Buford (Ga.) picked up its first playoff win of its 2023 campaign with a 50-0 victory over Wheeler. Five-star Georgia quarterback commit Dylan Raiola led the way with five total touchdowns.

Raiola was 12-of-15 passing for 218 yards and four touchdowns with an additional rushing touchdown, per The Georgia Sun. Raiola’s entire stat line came in the first half — Buford led 43-0 at the break before cruising to a 50-0 win.

Buford will face Norcross next Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Raiola is the nation’s No. 13 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the cycle’s No. 2 quarterback and No. 2 recruit from Georgia.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $798,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Raiola committed to Georgia in May after decommitting from Ohio State last winter.

“I enjoy the family feel and the way that they operate,” Raiola told On3 in October. “Being around great people is great for me, my family and my brother. It’s just a great time every time I go up there watching SEC football and being around the best fans in the land and having a good time.”
