4-star SF Jacob Wilkins commits to Georgia
Jacob Wilkins, On3’s No. 22 overall player in the 2025 class, is officially off the board and committed to the University of Georgia.
Wilkins, a 6-foot-8 small forward out of Atlanta (Ga.) Grayson, ultimately chose UGA over Virginia. He also received offers from Alabama, Indiana, and Cincinnati.
Jacob is the son of former Georgia Bulldog and NBA Hall-of-Famer Dominique Wilkins.
“I chose UGA because I feel at home,” Wilkins said to On3. “I trust the people there and I want to make a statement at home.”
In his own words, what type of player is Georgia getting in Jacob Wilkins?
“I would describe myself as a versatile player. Anything my team needs, I can do. Whether it’s rebound, defense, or scoring, I can do it all.”

Jacob has a message for UGA fans.
“Get ready, I’ll be there in 2025. I can’t wait.”
Mike White and the Bulldogs are continuing the momentum into the 2025 class with this addition of Jacob Wilkins, an extremely high-upside prospect from the state. Less than a week ago, Georgia landed the commitment of a top-10 prospect in the 2024 class, Asa Newell, who happens to be an Athens native. The Bulldogs remain in contention for two additional 2024 prospects, Derrion Reid (Top-20) and Khani Rooths (Top-25).
Wilkins Scouting Report
“Jacob Wilkins is a lengthy and explosive player. The upside is clear with him as you see the frame, the athleticism, the touch. It is all about consistency. He need to continue adding strength and live game reps. Wilkins is explosive in transition, able to quickly switch ends of the court and fill the lanes with a purpose as he gets above the rim. He has a jump shot that extends beyond the three point arc and with his feet set has good balance and consistent release and load. He needs to continue working on his balance and tightening his handle in the half court. Wilkins is getting better off one and two dribbles, learning his spots. There is high defensive upside here. Wilkins is still raw, but he is someone that continues to improve each time you check in. The ceiling is very high here. He is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
