Georgia Bulldogs defensive back makes decision on his future
With all the stories going on about players transferring and leaving for the NFL, it’s good to get one every now and then of a player planning to stay. The Georgia Bulldogs have witnessed a mass exodus of players, primarily on their defense, heading out of the program. But with the dawning of a new week, comes the news that Georgia defensive back William Poole III will be staying with the program one more season.
In a cryptic post on his personal Twitter account, Poole simply wrote “Sept.3”, which led his followers to wonder just what happens on that date. Jake Rowe filled in the meaning of the tweet with a repost confirming the Senior would return for one more season.
On Sept. 3, the Bulldogs will face off against their former defensive coordinator Dan Lanning and the Oregon ducks to kick off the season. And Poole plans on being right in the thick of it.

On Monday, Shaffer made it official. The offensive lineman announced on social media he was entering the 2022 NFL Draft.
“Dawg Nation, first I would like to thank the man above, without him I would not be the man I am today,” started Shaffer. “I also would like to thank Coach Smart and the University of Georgia for giving me the opportunity to be a student athlete at the best university in the nation.”
“To my family and friends, I appreciate all the love and support you have shown me in my time at UGA.
