Georgia football commit Antione Jackson showcased the Bulldogs’ newest addition to their uniform collection, featuring a primarily ice white jersey, helmet and shorts. The white jersey/shorts combination have been an away game staple for the Bulldogs for decades, but the white helmet is something never done before in program history.

Georgia has notably worn black and silver helmets over the years, and of course the red that has dominated UGA uniforms since the program’s inception.

The new uniform option was unveiled amid a wave of recruits visiting Georgia’s campus, including Jackson, who committed to the Bulldogs back in March. Jackson is a four-star recruit and the No. 84 prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, as well as the No. 12 cornerback prospect, and No. 21 overall player in the state Florida.

Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks kept his answer short and sweet: “[it’s] not even a discussion point right now.” Brooks did admit that alcohol sales had gone over well in other SEC venues, and Georgia even offers alcohol sales to patrons of private sweets during football games, but won’t budge on opening that same privilege up to the public.

“We’ve been very intentional about our plan, doing it the right way, not rushing it and working with our campus partners to make sure we have safety protocols in place and we’re doing it the right way,” Brooks said. “This is not something you want to rush into, you want to be deliberate and do it the right way, so it’s not something that we’re trying to immediately add to every single venue.”
