Jordan Davis models his game after former Tennessee Volunteers, NFL great
Jordan Davis put together a strong collegiate career at Georgia, and now he’s preparing for the next level. Currently participating in the NFL Draft Combine, Davis met with the media Friday morning and fielded a wide variety of questions from reporters – including who he models his game after.
When asked what player he sees himself as, Davis said it is John Henderson – a former defensive tackle for both the Tennessee Volunteers and Jacksonville Jaguars. While Davis and Henderson both played the same position, they’re also nearly the same size – as Davis stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 340 pounds and Henderson was 6-foot-7 and 335 pounds during his playing days.
Although Henderson is a player that the younger generation might not remember considering he wrapped up his playing career in 2011, Davis followed him throughout his life and is hoping to become the next version of him.
“One person that I really honed in was John Henderson from the Jacksonville Jaguars,” Davis said. “Very old name and not a lot of kids say that nowadays, but he’s just one of those guys when I first started watching football that I was drawn to. He’s one of those guys that I studied. At my age, he’s one of the greats.”

WATCH: George Pickens runs impressive 40-yard dash time
Former Georgia wide receiver George Pickens turned some heads with his 40-yard dash time at the NFL Draft Combine on Thursday. Pickens ran an impressive 4.4 flat, giving teams in need of a speedy pass catcher reason to consider him in the upcoming draft.
Pickens missed most of the regular season with Georgia in 2021 after suffering a knee injury during spring practice. He made his debut in the season finale against Georgia Tech, catching one pass for five yards. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver also appeared in the national championship game, where he brought in one catch for 52 yards.
