Georgia drops hype video ahead of rivalry showdown with Florida

The Georgia Bulldogs are set to renew their fierce rivalry with the Florida Gators this weekend. The showdown has been nicknamed, “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party,” and it’ll once again be played in Jacksonville in the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium. Ahead of the matchup, the Georgia Bulldogs dropped a hype video narrated by Nazir Stackhouse.
Georgia has been doing very well this season, but they have not looked quite as strong as many expected them to be this year. They currently sit at 6-1 overall, and they got their biggest win of the season yet over the Texas Longhorns. Georgia defeated Texas 30-15, after their defense forced four Longhorn turnovers, recovering three fumbles and snatching one interception.
Georgia running back Trevor Etienne had a big performance in that one, rumbling for 87 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He’s enjoyed a solid season so far, rushing 82 times for 422 yards and seven touchdowns. Star freshman running back Nate Frazier has been as advertised since the second he set foot on the grass in fall camp. He’s chipped in 41 carries for 204 rushing yards and one touchdown. And while Branson Robinson has been banged up most of the year, he’s contributed 73 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Florida has turned over the reins to freshman phenom DJ Lagway, since losing Graham Mertz to a season-ending injury. While he’s certainly looked like a freshman at times, he’s also made his fair share of spectacular plays. Lagway has completed 62.8% of his passes for 1,024 yards, while tossing five touchdowns and five interceptions. In Florida’s 48-20 win over Kentucky, Lagway racked up 290 all-purpose yards, while tossing in one interception. After a rough start to their season, the Gators have rebounded, rattling off wins in three of their last four games. This game is always one of the biggest games on the calendar circled for both teams.
Georgia and Florida are set to clash on Saturday, Nov. 2nd. That one will take place at 3:30 PM EST. The game will be nationally televised on ABC and ESPN+.
