With June official visits in the past and the midway point of the recruiting calendar here, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Warner Robins (Ga.) EDGE and Georgia commit Isaiah Gibson is the No. 13 overall prospect and a new five-star in the 2025 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 15 five-star prospects, up five from the previous update in April. Of those 15 five-stars, nine are already committed to college programs. Evaluations are far from over as prospects gear up for their senior seasons on the gridiron.

The 6-foot-3, 263-pound Gibson’s road to Georgia’s class including a surprising twist back in March, as he announced an impromptu commitment to USC while on a visit in Los Angeles. That pledge only stuck until June, as he eventually decommitted from the Trojans and joined UGA’s class a week later on June 24.

“I have those relationships with Georgia,” Gibson told On3. “I am close to the coaching staff, it is a school close to home and I have relationships with the coaches and the team. That made a big difference for me.”

Gibson is already a five-star prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, as well as the top-ranked EDGE in the nation. He’s one of five top-100 prospects in the Dawgs’ class — which currently ranks No. 5 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Scout’s Take on Isaiah Gibson

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this of Gibson as a prospect:

“Isaiah Gibson is a prospect that we know certain programs have different visions for at the next level. Some see him as a 3-technique, some as a stand up outside linebacker. For us, we know that no matter where he lines up, he’s going to be a complete mismatch due to his absurd length and athleticism. We verified Gibson’s wingspan at a freakish 7-foot-1 with 35-inch arms at our On3 Elite Series event this summer. He’s also been clocked in the 4.7 range in the 40-yard dash during the spring game circuit at 260-plus pounds which is elite for his size. Isaiah Gibson can line up standing up or with his hand in the dirt, but no matter what technique he plays in, he’s someone opposing offenses have to account for on every single snap.”
