Georgia holds the No. 3 class in the early On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings for 2025.

The Bulldogs already have six commitments in the fold, including a pair of top-20 national prospects in Manchester (Ga.) defensive lineman Justus Terry and Folkston (Ga.) Camden County tight end Elyiss Williams.

The duo ranks No. 2 and No. 5 among 2025 prospects in the Peach State, and in one of the deepest recruiting cycles in Georgia in recent memory, the Bulldogs are looking to take full advantage.

Another name high on that list is Atlanta Westlake four-star receiver Travis Smith. The No. 74 prospect in the 2025 On300 rankings and No. 8 receiver nationally, Smith has drawn attention from schools across the Southeast and the country as a whole. He’s well over 20 offers after his junior season, but it’s the Bulldogs who are setting the pace in his recruitment.

New prediction goes in favor of the Bulldogs

On Tuesday, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons logged an expert prediction for UGA to land Smith after his visit over the weekend to Athens.

Bryan McClendon spent a lot of time with Smith over the weekend,” Simmons wrote. “The two have a strong relationship. That connection, the location, Georgia’s consistency and the buzz coming out of the weekend has the Bulldogs trending for one of the best in the Peach State.

… I have logged a pick for Georgia on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Tennessee is the biggest competition for Georgia and the No. 153 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings will be back in Knoxville this weekend. Smith is not expected to make a decision too soon, but he is looking to commit before his senior season.”

Smith talks about his recent visit to Georgia

“It feels like home over there,” Smith told Jeremy Johnson of DawgsHQ. “Being close to home and then you’ve got guys that make you comfortable. That’s a great thing to have.”

Smith continues to feel like a priority at Georgia. Being on campus on Saturday added to that feeling. The Bulldogs had less than 50 players on campus on Saturday.

“It means a lot to me that I was in that first junior day,” Smith said. “They made it very clear, that this was for select guys. If you’re here, they want you. The thing that stood out to me was that people know your name, it’s obvious that you’re being prioritized. Getting the chance to meet new people and understanding how much you can be a help to this program is great to know.”
