Georgia boasts two of the top recruits in Texas in its top-rated class in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge stars Joseph Jonah-Ajonye and Justin Williams have been high school teammates now for a few years, and the duo will continue that at the next level.

Both are committed to play at Georgia — Williams at linebacker and Jonah-Ajonye along the defensive line.

They are each expected to sign later this month with the Bulldogs, and on Wednesday, UGA head coach Kirby Smart stopped by their school for a visit.

Headliners of Bulldogs’ No. 1 recruiting class

Williams and Jonah-Ajonye are also two of the four highest-rated commitments in the 2024 class for the Bulldogs.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Williams checks in as the No. 8 prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 1 linebacker and the No. 2 recruit in Texas.

Jonah-Ajonye, meanwhile, ranks as the nation’s No. 36 recruit, No. 6 defensive lineman and No. 9 player in Texas.

In total, Georgia has commitments three five-stars, 20 four-stars and five three-star prospects this cycle. Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy cornerback Ellis Robinson IV and Buford (Ga.) quarterback Dylan Raiola join Williams among the nation’s top-32 prospects.

Five additional pledges are ranked in the top 100 of the On3 Industry Ranking: Raymore (Mo.) Raymore-Peculiar four-star tight end Jaden Reddell, Jonah-Ajonye, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star running back Nathaniel Frazier, Salem (Va.) four-star linebacker Chris Cole, South Bend (Ind.) Northwood four-star receiver NiTareon Tuggle and Swainsboro (Ga.) four-star cornerback Demello Jones.

Four-star and five-star prospects are rated as ‘blue-chip’ prospects — Georgia’s class sits first in the nation in blue-chip percentage at 82.14%.
