Georgia is trending for 4-Star DL Sydir Mitchell
Sydir Mitchell was in Athens for an official visit just over a week ago and there is a lot of buzz around the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-5, 345-pound out of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic took an unofficial visit to Georgia earlier in the spring and the interest seemed to be high on both sides. As the spring progressed, Georgia sent coaches up to check on Mitchell twice, and then the official visit took place.
Official visits to Texas and Auburn have been locked in for the June 17-19 and June 24-26 weekends, but will those visits take place? According to a source close to this, Georgia has given the No. 299 prospect in the On3 Consensus a lot to think about. There is some buzz about a decision coming earlier than expected.
I put a prediction in for Georgia on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine last week and the Bulldogs lead there with a 95.7% clip.

With what Tray Scott did with the defensive linemen he coached and developed in this NFL Draft class along with how Georgia’s defense is structured, it has the reigning national champions in a great position heading into June.
“Georgia was already one of my top schools and they are still up there,” Mitchell said. “I loved it. I still have to take my visits and look at everyone, but Georgia is up there. This visit helped them for sure. The coaches were great. I loved being around them. It is a school I like a lot.”
Mitchell is one to keep a close eye on this summer.
