Georgia EDGE Samuel M’Pemba plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

In addition to Troy Bowles, Georgia EDGE Samuel M’Pemba is also planning to enter the transfer portal.

M’Pemba spent two seasons with the Bulldogs.

He made four appearances for the Bulldogs in the 2024 campaign but did not record any tackles. In his true freshman season in 2023, M’Pemba made four appearances again, tallying six total tackles.

Despite M’Pemba’s lack of action, he boasts excellent size, standing at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, according to the team’s website. He reportedly showed flashes of promise at practice this offseason but struggled to string together consistently strong practice performances.

M’Pemba played high school football at IMG Academy, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 44 overall player and No. 6 EDGE in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
