Georgia moves up in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings
Georgia recruiting is staying hot as we progress through the month of June. After picking up a commitment from five-star linebacker Zayden Walker and top-150 DL Christian Garrett earlier this month, the ‘Dawgs have landed Geneva (Ill.) Geneva Community top-50 four-star wide receiver Talyn Taylor.
With Taylor’s commitment, Georgia moves up four spots to No. 3 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings for the 2025 cycle.
Taylor is the nation’s No. 50 overall prospect, No. 9 wide receiver and No. 3 recruit from Illinois in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“It is about Coach Kirby Smart, Coach James Coley at that culture in Athens,” Taylor told On3 last month. “I have been messing with Coach Smart since my first visit and we have built a great relationship since. Georgia is just a great program.”
Taylor earned On3 top performers honors for Day 1 of the OT7 Championships in Tampa over the weekend.

“Talyn Taylor looks like one of the smoothest receivers on hand at the OT7 Championship. The Illinois native has outstanding change of direction, allowing him to create separation with his route-running. Taylor also showcased high-end tracking skills, locating the ball over his back shoulder for one of the more difficult touchdown grabs on the day. While Taylor’s pure production may have not exceeded some other wide receivers, his skill level and ability to make difficult plays stood out.” — On3’s Charles Power
Georgia Class Breakdown
Recently committed five-star Zayden Walker, five-star tight end Elyiss Williams and four-star EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon give UGA three commits who rank in the top 100 in the country in addition to Taylor.
“It felt like home,” Walker told On3. “I made my decision to commit to Georgia over the weekend when I was on my official visit. I had been close to committing before, but that was the right time. My family was there, I knew that is where I wanted to go and I made my decision.”
The latest additions to the class for Georgia include: Garrett, Walker, Ikinnagbon, four-star offensive lineman Mason Short, a one-time Alabama commit who reopened his recruitment when Nick Saban retired; four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery; and four-star wide receiver/athlete Thomas Blackshear.
