Georgia OL Xavier Truss announces decision to return to Bulldogs for 2024 season
The good news continues to roll in for Georgia. Senior offensive lineman Xavier Truss announced on Friday that he is returning to school for the 2024 season.
The announcement from Truss came on the same day that fellow starting offensive lineman Tate Ratledge revealed that he is also returning to school for another year. In addition to those two, starting defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse also announced on Friday that he is returning for 2024.
As for Xavier Truss, he played in all 14 games this season, making 13 starts. The 6-foot-7 320-pounder was named second-team All-SEC in 2023.
Truss signed with Georgia in 2019 and was ranked as a four-star prospect.
A native of Rhode Island, Truss appeared in three games during his freshman season in 2019.
In 2020, Truss saw his role increase, playing in six of 10 games. He started the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl that season in a win over Cincinnati.
Truss appeared in all 15 games in 2021 as Georgia won the national title and played the majority of the snaps in a win over Tennessee.
He started at left guard for Georgia in 14 of 15 games last season as the Bulldogs won another national title, before once again holding down a starting job this year.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.
The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.
To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility.
