Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones declares for 2023 NFL Draft
Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones has officially made a decision on his future and whether to enter the 2023 NFL Draft. The 2021 Coaches Freshman All-SEC selection will be forgoing any remaining eligibility and headed to the draft, he announced on Instagram on Friday.
Jones arrived at Georgia in 2020 but played sparingly for the Bulldogs in his first season on campus, acting mostly as a reserve. His usage quickly ramped up after that, though. Now, he’s ready for the 2023 NFL Draft.
As a redshirt freshman in 2021, Jones earned Coaches Freshman All-SEC honors after he played in every game for the national champions and started the last four games of the regular season at left tackle in relief of injured starter Jamaree Salyer.
During his redshirt sophomore campaign this year, Jones was the team’s regular starter at left tackle on an offense that was quite balanced and prolific.
With a bit of basketball background, Jones has impressed NFL Draft analysts with his athleticism and movement ability. He’ll be one of the more sought-after tackles in the 2023 NFL Draft.
