No program in the country is off to a hotter start in the 2024 recruiting cycle than Georgia is right now.

The Bulldogs currently rank No. 1 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, with seven commitments ranked among the top-100 prospects nationally and 12 total. The 2024 class has the potential to be an all-time one for Kirby Smart and Co., with the state of Georgia boasting seven of the nation’s top 50 prospects.

And four of those are still uncommitted, all with serious interest in the Red and Black.

One of the ‘Dawgs top targets will be back on campus this weekend for G-Day, along with a number of other priority recruits in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes.

Headlining the group is Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden out of Buford (Ga.), who ranks as the No. 5 prospect in the country and the nation’s top safety this cycle. Bolden was originally set to visit earlier this month but couldn’t due to an illness. Instead, he’ll be on campus for the spring game and around a host of UGA commits.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder is one of Georgia’ top recruiting targets in the class, regardless of position. Being a homegrown prospect from just down the road in Buford only ups the importance of landing him.

“Just come home,” Bolden told On3 earlier this spring of the Bulldogs’ pitch to him. “We’re building something real special and you got a great opportunity to get on the field early and it’s down the road, so why not?”

Five-star cornerback commit will be back in town

Along with Bolden, Georgia’s top commitment — five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV — will be back in Athens as well. The Bulldogs beat out Alabama and a host of others for his commitment back in January, and while other schools still aren’t giving up on him, Robinson will be tough to flip.

“It’s gonna be hard to flip me,” Robinson told On3’s Chad Simmons last month. “I’m locked in. I’ve been locked in with coach Fran since my freshman year. I’ve always built that bond with him since freshman year. Ever since going to Georgia and all that, with coach Kirby, coach (Will) Muschamp, relationships with them became great. Everything’s been great. They won’t only talk to me. They’ll talk to my family too.”

Also expected to be in attendance are four-star offensive tackle Daniel Calhoun, the top offensive tackle in the Peach State, and coveted four-star defensive lineman Justin Greene. Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn and more are also in pursuit of Calhoun, but the in-state Bulldogs hold a slight lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). As for Greene, Georgia has reportedly turned up the heat in their recruitment of him recently, joining Auburn, South Carolina and a few others in pursuit.

As a junior last fall, he earned first-team all-region honors at Lawrenceville (Ga.) Mountain View after recording 63 tackles, 11 quarterback hurries, 9.5 tackles for loss, four sacks and two pass breakups.

From the 2025 class, elite five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, top-10 prospect DJ Pickett and four-star defensive line commit Justus Terry highlight the rising juniors who will be in town.
