With National Signing Day less than one week away, the Georgia Bulldogs are close to securing a top-three recruiting class in college football.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, defensive analyst Will Muschamp and tight ends coach Todd Hartley visited 2022 Jacksonville (Fla.) Riverside five-star cornerback Jaheim Singletary Thursday.

Jaheim Singletary, who committed to the Bulldogs in November, is a five-star prospect in the 2022 On3 Consensus Rankings. Singletary is one of 32 On3 Consensus five-star prospects and if Georgia is able to hold on to his commitment, it would go a long way in solidifying another elite class for head coach Kirby Smart. Smart will have to fend off new Florida head coach Billy Napier as Napier makes a push to keep Singletary in-state.

Singletary originally committed to Ohio State in January before decommitting from the Buckeyes this August.

Jaheim Singletary Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote the following on Jaheim Singletary as a prospect:

A tall, lean ball-hawking cornerback. Uses his 6-foot-2.5 stature, 33-inch arms and bouncy athleticism to make plays on the ball at a high rate. Looks like a wide receiver playing corner when the ball is in the air with his ability to extend and high-point. Unsurprisingly also doubles as a talented wide receiver for his high school team. Plays with physicality both as a run defender and in press situations. Has above average, not great long speed for the position. Grew over an inch between his junior and senior years.

Bulldogs rolling along on the recruiting trail

Georgia has amassed one of the nation’s best recruiting classes, sitting third in the 2022 On3 Consensus Team Rankings. The Bulldogs trail fellow SEC programs Texas A&M and Alabama. These three schools are the only in the country to receive commitments from three or more five-star prospects in the 2022 On3 Consensus Rankings.

Two other cornerbacks join Jaheim Singletary in the 2022 Georgia class — Houston (Texas) Clear Lake four-star Julian Humphrey and Snellville (Ga.) North Cobb four-star Marquis Groves-Killebrew.
