Georgia trending with On3 top-100 offensive tackle Damola Ajidahun
Duluth (Ga.) four-star offensive tackle Damola Ajidahun named his top eight schools earlier this month, with Georgia, Ole Miss, Duke, Georgia Tech, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and South Florida making the list.
The Rebels and Bulls hosted him the past two weekends for official visits, and this weekend he’ll head to Athens to see the Bulldogs. Ahead of that visit though, On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has logged an expert pick in UGA’s favor in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
The prediction is the first across the entire recruiting industry and puts the Bulldogs as the major favorite to land Ajidahun, per the RPM.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder is one of UGA’s top in-state targets this cycle, with the coaching staff bringing him to campus in both March and April, as well as for the upcoming official visit.
The Bulldogs have 13 commitments already this cycle, but only one along the offensive line with four-star interior lineman Mason Short. Ajidahun has rocketed up the rankings — and recruiting boards — in recent months.
On3 ranks him higher than the rest of the recruiting industry as the nation’s No. 84 overall prospect, No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 16 recruit in the Peach State.
Damola Ajidahun breaks down top eight schools
In an interview with DawgsHQ.com earlier this month, he quickly broke down what stands out about each of his top eight schools:
Georgia Tech: ‘I really love how connected I feel with the players and the coaches, and there are a lot of benefits to Tech.’
Duke: ‘It’s just an amazing school with great benefits to the degree and everything. They are on the rise.’
