Georgia will get one of its key offensive weapons back for the 2025 season, with receiver Dillon Bell noting on Instagram that he plans to return next fall.
Bell is coming off a season in which he finished third on the team in receiving, logging 43 catches for 466 yards and four touchdowns.
That Bell put up those kind of numbers while dealing with an injury that bothered him through a chunk of the 2025 season was impressive. Bell narrowly avoided ankle surgery.
He suffered an injury in the game against Tennessee on Nov. 19, then was limited in the following weeks. But coach Kirby Smart provided a positive update in mid-November, noting he wouldn’t need surgery and therefore might be available later in the team’s postseason run.
“No update on Dillon, really,” Kirby Smart said. “I just ran into him a few minutes ago. Got an ankle sprain. It’s stable. Not going to require any sort of surgery. Hopeful to get him back.”

Dillon Bell would indeed return, gutting it out two weeks later against Georgia Tech.
He tallied two catches for 28 yards in that one before having a bigger impact in the team’s College Football Playoff showdown with Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. Bell finished that game with six catches for 33 yards, also carrying the ball once for a yard.
That was a productive junior season for Dillon Bell, though certainly one he’ll hope to build on going forward.
Eliminating the occasional drops — which showed up in the postseason — will be key. So too will be developing a little more consistency. But the tools are there for Bell to have a breakout campaign.
And now the Georgia offense will have one more quality target to rely on next fall.
