Georgia WR Nitro Tuggle plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Tuggle spent one season with the Bulldogs, amassing six appearances. In his limited action, Tuggle tallied three catches for 34 total yards.
After Tuggle hauled in two catches against Tennessee, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart praised the talented true freshman.
“Nitro’s responded well. He’s worked hard,” Smart said. “He gained some confidence from that because he went against a really good defense and he did some nice things.
“But, I mean, he goes against a good defense every day in practice, and there’s times that he’s been frustrated. I mean, he would tell you openly that he wants to play. He wants to help. All freshmen want to play.”
Smart isn’t the only one who gave Tuggle his flowers this season. Georgia cornerback Daylen Everette also raved about Tuggle’s abilities earlier this season.
“He’s a real good player. He really is a fun player to compete against. He probably has one of the best releases, so that also helps me because I know what to look for and try to stay patient,” Everette said.

“Iron sharpening iron, he’s getting better, I’m getting better. It’s just fun to go against him. And I see him, he’s getting better, just like I said earlier. Everybody’s getting better.”
Nitro Tuggle played high school football for NorthWood (IN), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 127 overall recruit and No. 23 wide receiver in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Now, after only one season with the Bulldogs, Tuggle will look for greener pastures in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
