Gunner Stockton takes sly parting shot at Carson Beck when asked about former Georgia QB transfer

It’s been a busy few months for quarterback Carson Beck. He transferred to Miami this offseason, linking up with his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder.
Beck’s departure left a significant hole at the quarterback position in Athens, but his backup is looking to make the most of the opportunity. Gunner Stockton already got some run in the College Football Playoffs, and he’ll get a whole lot more next fall.
Part of being the quarterback at a place like Georgia is dealing with all the outside noise. Beck had his fair share of it, and now Stockton is dealing with it too.
The quarterback was asked Tuesday if Carson Beck had offered him any idea that he was transferring to Miami ahead of time. Stockton simply smiled and shrugged.
“He was busy,” Stockton said, per Graham Coffey of Dawgs Central. Honest, to say the least.
Carson Beck has had a lot going on. From the transfer to NIL deals, the quarterback has made more than one headline this offseason.
First off, Cavinder denied having any involvement in his transfer to Miami, despite the obvious link between the two. And in recent days, there has been speculation of a breakup, based on the fact that Cavinder reportedly unfollowed Beck on social media.

In between, there was a significant vehicle theft. Carson Beck had a Mercedes and a Lamborhini stolen from his residence in south Florida.
But the bottom line is this: Carson Beck will be suiting up for a new team next fall. He’s got considerable talent, though he wasn’t necessarily playing his best football last fall.
Beck threw for 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns. The 28 touchdowns were a new career-high, but the passing yardage was down about 500 yards from his previous season’s total. Worse, Beck threw 12 interceptions, doubling his previous career high.
Can he get back into form? Well, that might well depend on just what things Beck is spending his time getting busy with.
