Raymore (Mo.) Raymore-Peculiar four-star tight end Jaden Reddell saw opportunities to succeed at Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon and Tennessee.

But the relationships he’d built and the development at Georgia was simply too much for him to pass up, and On3’s No. 1 tight end in the 2024 class has committed to Kirby Smart, Todd Hartley and the Bulldogs.

“It was pretty tough because I was close with a lot of colleges, but at the end of the day I felt Georgia was right for me,” he told On3. “And it was just time to pull the trigger and commit.”

During the spring, Reddell went back and forth between a few of his top schools. But over the past few months, Georgia began to pull away from the pack. He visited in March and then again this past weekend, where he was surrounded by not only Georgia’s coaches, but also a number of current commits.

“I’d say I had a decision in mind before I went to this Georgia visit. But this one really solidified it for me,” he said. “I’m very close with the coaches and the rest of the 2024 class that’s already committed and having Dylan Raiola as my quarterback, that was big for me.”

Jaden Reddell wants to be the next great Georgia tight end

Reddell hauled in 49 passes for 1,002 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior in 2022 and fits into the mold of what Georgia wants at the tight end position, much in the same mold of Brock Bowers, Pearce Spurlin, Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie.

He has seen what Hartley can do in terms of development and production, and the two have built an equally strong relationship off the field as well.

“There’s evidence that he’s able to take college tight ends and put them into the NFL and develop them,” Reddell said. “And he’s just really easy to talk to. It’s not all football, and we had a connection outside of football and him being my future coach.”

He joins Georgia’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and gives Raiola yet another major target. The Bulldogs also have commitments from top-100 wide receiver Ny Carr, top-250 wideout Nitro Tuggle. And they are considered the prohibitive favorites for five-star receiver Ryan Wingo as well.

He has gotten close to a number of current commits and is excited to play alongside and against some of the best players in the country every day in Athens.

“The staff and the development were big, but the connection with the players in my class that I have and being able to play for a national championship meant a lot,” he added. ” … I’m just ready to compete with the other tight ends there and get to play against the best defense in college football every single day at practice. And I’m ready to have that competitiveness with my teammates.”
