Jordan Davis on NFL Combine performance: 'We’re only getting started'
Jordan Davis, a former interior defensive lineman for the Georgia Bulldogs, put on an athletic show at the 2022 NFL combine. After the former Bulldogs lineman called it a day, the team at the NFL Network got a few words from him on his performance.
Davis revealed that he and fellow former Georgia teammate Devonte Wyatt simply came in to put on a show. And that the duo had been planning this since before the start of last season.
“Oh you know it was just one of those things where I had to prove it you know. I’ve been working on myself in the offseason and working on my mind, body, and soul. And just being able to come out here and put on a show. That’s what I planned on, and that’s what I did,” said Davis.
Davis had a lot to say about his performance but found himself at a loss for words after receiving high praise from XFL owner and former WWE superstar Dwayne “ The Rock” Johnson.
“I don’t know what to say, man. It’s honestly so surreal. It’s all coming so fast but you know this ain’t the end. We’re only getting started.”

The second-fastest time was run by Dontari Poe of Memphis back in 2012. That year, Poe ran the fastest 40 ever at the Combine by a player over 340 pounds with a time of 4.98.
It turns out Jordan Davis was faster — in the same exact event — than a recent Super Bowl champion QB Georgia Bulldogs fans know very, very well.
In an incredibly impressive yet somewhat eerie simulation created by the NFL graphics team, an edited video inserted Super Bowl winning QB and Georgia Bulldogs legend Matthew Stafford’s 40-yard dash from back in in 2009 and blended it with Jordan Davis stunning the world on Saturday.
This is almost unfathomable to comprehend and Georgia Bulldogs fans will get a kick out of it to say the least.
