For the third weekend in a row, Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback and USC commit Julian Lewis is on the road visiting another program.

After taking in Auburn and Colorado, the 6-foot-0.5, 185-pounder is back on a familiar campus this weekend. No program has had Lewis in for more visits than Georgia. On Saturday, the prized QB took in a UGA basketball game at Stegeman Coliseum alongside Kirby Smart:

This trip to Athens has been set for weeks, as DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson reported the news right as Lewis reclassified from 2026 to the 2025 cycle. Lewis has heard recruiting pitches from a boat load of programs, and while Georgia benefits from being right down the road, it has still made good on making impressions and cementing itself in the race for the Trojans pledge.

“They run an NFL offensive system with boots, motions, RPOs, under center and all kinds of play action,” Lewis told DawgsHQ of UGA. “They use the TE and always have a great run game. They’ve recruited well on both sides of the ball so practice brings the most out of their guys every day…The offense flows really well. I had the chance to see them play a few times. When they’re in rhythm they’re very hard to stop.”

Lewis a top-10 prospect following reclassification

As a member of the 2025 cycle, Lewis ranks as the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 2 QB, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Georgia.

“Since I was 7 years old one of my goals has been to play D1 football. Through hard work and sacrifice that goal has become a reality. I have been blessed to have 2 good seasons under Coach Joey King and I have confidence that after this coming season I will be ready to compete at the next level. So after praying and talking with my family, coaches and trainers I will be reclassifying to the class of 2025,” Lewis told On3 upon his reclassification.

He was a finalist for Gatorade National Player of the Year alongside two senior class quarterbacks — Five-Star Plus+ Alabama signee Julian Sayin and Five-Star Plus+ Florida signee DJ Lagway — this fall.

Lewis, the youngest of the trio, threw for 3,094 passing yards and 48 touchdowns in the 2023 season. He was intercepted just twice in 13 games and once accounted for seven touchdowns in one night.
