Georgia‘s Kelee Ringo is already viewed as one of the top cornerbacks in the entire 2023 NFL Draft class and he’s also got a bit of an ace in the hole as he begins preparing for the next level.

He’s had the luxury of working out some with Richard Sherman, the long-time pro who was once widely viewed as the top cornerback in the league.

“Man, it’s been great. It’s just being able to learn from the legend himself, from technique-wise, mental game, being able to see concepts,” Ringo said. “It’s definitely helped me grow as a man as well, outside of the football things as well as just continuing to learn the game from a greater point of view.”

Ringo turned in a top five 40-yard dash time in the cornerbacks grouping, clocking an unofficial 4.36. That on top of the elite length he possesses likely shores him up as a high NFL Draft pick.

Being able to pick Sherman’s brain is just an added bonus.

“Me being from Washington, close to Seattle, I train there as well,” Ringo said. “Just the connections that you definitely have, continuously, to meet people. I believe it’s about who you know and definitely not what you know as well. I wouldn’t say definitely, but it definitely helps a lot more to have those connections and know a lot more people because you’re able to use those assets to help you with specifically with whatever you want.”

So what exactly has Kelee Ringo taken away from Sherman ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft?

“How smart he is, how he slows the game down,” Ringo said. “I would definitely say he makes things look a lot easier with how smart he is, seeing what’s going to happen to him, what an offensive coordinator is going to do in a game.”
