Kirby Smart & UGA assistants set to watch Five-Star Plus+ QB Arch Manning
One of the top schools for the No. 1 junior in the country Arch Manning is Georgia. The Bulldogs will be back in New Orleans Monday evening. On3 has confirmed Kirby Smart, Todd Monken, Matt Luke, and Buster Faulkner will be at Manning’s basketball game.
Manning visited Athens for the South Carolina game and the National Champions are one of the top contenders.
Manning is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is considered a Five-Star Plus+ prospect, which means that each of the four major recruit sites list him as a five-star.
Arch Manning is still focused on five schools
Despite recent offers from Oklahoma, Michigan, Stanford and others, Manning remains focused on five schools, his high school coach told ClemsonSports. Those schools have remained constant throughout his recruitment: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas.
Manning and his camp haven’t given any indication that they are leaning toward one program or another. Although he has built a strong relationship with Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns were considered the leader in his recruitment for much of the fall, but Georgia has gained ground. The Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives the Bulldogs a slight edge over Alabama to land Manning, with Texas, Ole Miss and Clemson trailing behind.

As for the Rebels, Ole Miss made a good impression on Manning when he visited in October. And he has quite the family connection to the school. His dad Archie, uncle Eli and father Cooper all played for or attended the school.
Manning is expected to take visits again this spring, but the timeframe for those is still unknown. He competes in both basketball and track and field for Isidore Newman, so they will happen around those schedules.
