Somehow, Georgia continues to break records during their dominant two-year span. For the 28th consecutive SEC regular season game, the Bulldogs wound up on the winning end. Additionally, Kirby Smart‘s team is the first ever to have three consecutive undefeated SEC seasons.

In case any other program in the country wants to know how Georgia pulled it off, Smart provided the blueprint on Saturday following Georgia’s win against Tennessee. Only issue? They likely are not going to be able to replicate exactly how it’s played out, especially when having somebody like Carson Beck running the show.

“Sign good players, sign good kids and get them to believe that if they don’t care who gets the credit, that they’ll be very successful,” Smart said during his postgame interview with CBS’ Jenny Dell. “We’ve got a group of guys here — it’s different every week.

“This guy [Dillon Bell] didn’t get a whole bunch of touches the last week, but today? He made a bunch of big-time plays, he got his opportunity. And this guy [Carson Beck] helped him do it.”

In the last four recruiting cycles, the lowest Georgia has finished per the On3 Industry Team rankings is No. 3. Smart has no sign of slowing down either, currently having the 2024 No. 1 ranked class. Talent is going to continue to flow through Athens.

Alabama is the only other program to bring in similar type of talent and now, those two are once again getting set to face off against each other in the SEC Championship.

Beck is not completely ready to think about the game in Atlanta, though. Georgia Tech for some Good, Clean Old Fashioned Hate is next on the schedule. Focusing on one game at a time is how Beck believes Georgia has been able to keep this winning streak alive.

“Obviously, it’s one week at a time, 1-0 every single week,” Beck said. “I know that’s super cliche, but we’ve got to keep it like that. We’re not worried about a streak. We’re worried about each and every week coming in, getting a win and then, we’ll move on to the next.”

With Georgia on the road, their next two games will be played in the city of Atlanta. First game up will be Georgia Tech before trying to add another year to the SEC Championship banner against Alabama. Two wins likely result in another College Football Playoff opportunity.
