Kirby Smart provides update on health status of Arian Smith, AD Mitchell
Georgia has started off the season red hot once again and looks like the nation’s top team for the second year running with a more confident Stetson Bennett behind center. However, his potential for the season could be directly tied to the health of his wide receiver room, which has suffered several key injuries to start the season and must get healthy soon to develop chemistry with the rest of the offense.
Head coach Kirby Smart will certainly look to integrate wide receivers Arian Smith and AD Mitchell back into the fold as soon as possible once doctors clear the pair to return. While no concrete timeline has been set for that process, an update did emerge from a recent press conference.

“Arian (Smith) more than AD (Mitchell),” Smart said on the availability of the pair at practice. “But still hopeful on both.”
Smart then stood silent as he looked around the room after his short answer, then ending the press conference a few moments later. While the update provides will certainly create optimism about the upcoming return of both players, the vague response provides little insight into when each return is most likely to happen.
