The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine is underway this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana and on Friday night, the top running backs from across the country took to the field to participate in drills before a nationally televised audience on NFL Network. Earlier on Friday night, former Georgia Bulldog running back James Cook III impressed in a variety of drills, including the 40-yard dash.

James Cook’s official 40-yard dash was just released by the NFL Network and he ran a 4.42 40-time, which is faster than his older brother, Dalvin Cook, who ran a 4.49 40-yard dash in his performance at the combine. On James Cook’s first 40-yard dash attempt on Friday night, he ran an unofficial 40-time of 4.5 seconds.

Watching the drills on NFL Network, Dalvin Cook had words of praise for his younger brother.

Check out the tweet below.

Like the tweet above noted, James Cook looked remarkably smooth and fluid in drills on Friday night. While the younger Cook might not be able to carry the same workload as his older brother, he is undoubtedly electrifying as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. This season, he received a 83.4 receiving grade from PFF, ranking him fourth in college football.

Not only should James Cook be proud of his performance, but he also posted a faster 40-yard dash time than his older brother. Check out the tweet below from Dalvin Cook. Once he found out the updated official 40-yard dash results, he had to tweet again.
