Two Georgia football players were suspended indefinitely after a pair of unrelated traffic incidents were reported on Thursday. Receiver Nitro Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley both had separate issues.

Easley’s will draw more scrutiny. He reportedly crashed into the front of a residential building.

According to an incident report obtained by Marc Weiszer of the Athens-Banner Herald, a white Dodge Challenger left the roadway and connected with a power distribution box. The car also hit two other vehicles parked in a driveway as it continued out of control.

Grady Newsource reported that the vehicle belonged to a Georgia football player. It did not specifically link Easley and no charges have yet been found pertaining to the incident.

Tuggle, on the other hand, was arrested by the Athens-Clarke County Police on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding, according to UGASports.com. He was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail at approximately 1:56 a.m. ET on Thursday morning.

News of his incident broke later Thursday morning. He was released after an hour in holding after posting a $20 cash bond.

The two incidents are just the latest in a string of driving-related incidents plaguing the Georgia football program. One proved fatal.

Offensive lineman Devin Willock and program staffer Chandler LeCroy were killed in a crash in January 2023. Since then, the program’s driving issues have been under the microscope. Yet the issues persist.

Last September, Bulldogs defensive back Daniel Harris was arrested for driving 106 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. Harris also was charged with not wearing a seatbelt, operating an unregistered vehicle without a license plate, driving without proof of insurance, and having illegal window tint.

Coach Kirby Smart has not yet commented publicly on the two latest incidents. Georgia released a statement on Thursday afternoon noting both Tuggle and Easley were suspended indefinitely and that the program would have no further comment at this time.
