'My whole family loves Georgia': Elite 2025 LB Jadon Perlotte commits to the Bulldogs
Buford (Ga.) linebacker Jadon Perlotte is more than two years away from being able to sign with a college and play football. But one of the top players in the country in the 2025 class already knows he where he wants to be.
On Thursday, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Perlotte committed to Kirby Smart and the home-state Georgia Bulldogs over more than 25 other offers. He’s been a Georgia fan since he was five years old, watching the likes of Isaac Nauta, Aaron Murray and Jake Fromm don the ‘G.’
“I knew when I got the offer from Georgia that I was going to commit to them,” he told On3. “I wasn’t sure when, but I knew it would be early. As soon as I got the offer, I knew where I was going. My whole family loves Georgia, so I grew up watching them.”
The No. 35 player in the On3 Consensus first camped at Georgia going into his freshman year in 2021. Since then, he’s been back in Athens five times for unofficial visits and camps. From the the beginning, Georgia’s coaches showed interest in him. But everything changed we got his offer.
“When I got the offer, my mind was moving a thousands miles per hour,” he added. “I couldn’t believe it. Commitment crossed my mind as soon as I got the offer back in May. It happened on the last day of spring practice and it is a day I will never forget. That was the day I knew I was going to Georgia.”

There was ‘no real competition’ for Jadon Perlotte
With all of the other offers he amassed, Perlotte had dozens of options on the table, including some of the nation’s other top programs. But he was focused only on the Red & Black.
“Georgia was an easy choice for me,” he said. “I didn’t even need to wait this long. Georgia’s culture is different. They are about the team. They play hard, they are about defense, and they go 100 percent all the time in games and practice. Georgia is about the little things. They go into the details and that sets them apart. Georgia puts players in the NFL. That is my goal and Georgia is my favorite school, so why go anywhere else?”
He loves game day in Sanford Stadium as well, and when he told the coaches of his decision earlier this week, he imagined himself playing there on Saturdays.
“Every time I step into Georgia’s stadium, I have never seen an empty seat,” he said. “The fans love Georgia, and they fill up the stadium. The fans are loud, they care for their players and it is all any player could ask for. Everyone wants to play in front of fans like Georgia’s. … Me committing to Georgia is the start of something legendary. This decision will be legendary for me and my family.”
