Georgia top-50 WR commit Ny Carr shuts down recruitment

Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star wide receiver and Georgia commit Ny Carr announced on Twitter Tuesday that he is shutting down his recruitment. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect committed to the Bulldogs on July 5.

Carr is the No. 48 overall prospect and No. 8 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Georgia.

Georgia currently has the No. 1 class in the 2024 cycle with 10 total commitments. Carr is one of the Bulldogs’ six commitments who is ranked in the top-50. Five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV is Georgia’s highest-ranked commitment currently at No. 5 in the country according to the On3 Consensus.

“Fluid route-runner who wins with ball tracking and creating yards after the catch. Shows excellent body control and balance in his route running and at the catch point. Solid production as a sophomore with 40 catches for 856 yards and 13 touchdowns for one of the top high school programs in Georgia. Three-sport athlete that jumped a 5’10” high jump in 2021 who also plays basketball. All-around skill set for the position who will continue to improve as he physically develops into his frame.”
