On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Georgia trending for CB Chris Peal
Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School four-star cornerback Chris Peal has been unofficially focused on three programs since the summer.
Peal took an official visits to Georgia in June, then tripped to Michigan and N.C. State in September, and according to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, those have remained the main contenders to land him. He also unofficially visited Raleigh and Ann Arbor at the end of July, as well as making a trip to Athens two weekends ago.
It’s the Bulldogs who have been trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) for a few months now, though. And after an expert pick from TheWolverine.com’s EJ Holland in favor of Georgia last night, that lead has only strengthened. The RPM now gives Kirby Smart and Co. a 96.4 percent chance of securing Peal’s commitment, buoyed by the picks from Holland, Simmons and national recruiting writer Jeremy Johnson.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Peal is the No. 179 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 21 cornerback and the No. 5 player in North Carolina.
