Mid-January has called for parades recently in Athens, with the celebration being on for the Georgia national championship wins. Not many could have enjoyed them more than starting quarterback Stetson Bennett, who completed his dream of winning with his childhood Bulldogs.

His career might be over but Bennett still found a way to catch a few complaints. He was caught being on his cell phone at times and accused of not appreciating the Georgia fans out there supporting the team.

After being called out by a media member for the move, Bennett decided to crush the reporter on Twitter. He made fun of his old age, saying he does not even understand how to use a cell phone. After all, he is older than a few quarterbacks still in the NFL playoffs.

Bennett then apologized to any of the fans who felt unappreciated, saying he was just trying to play some music. Because why wouldn’t QB1 have the aux cord in his hands?

Speaking of being in control, that’s exactly what Bennett was during the national championship win against TCU. He threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns on 18 of 25 passing. Outside of the first couple of minutes in the first quarter, the game was never in question.

Bennett was able to cap off what was a roller-coaster career as a back-to-back title winner and according to head coach Kirby Smart, is the greatest Georgia Bulldog of all time.

A truly great honor from somebody of the pedigree of Smart.

If that’s true, Bennett can enjoy a parade however he sees fit. Especially if he is just picking the music for everyone on the bus to listen to. After all, the focus should be on celebrating the national championship win, not the harmless actions of the quarterback.
