A former top commit for the Georgia Bulldogs is set to visit Athens this weekend.

According to Rivals’ Lance McCurley, Manchester (Ga.) five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry will visit Georgia this weekend days after flipping his commitment from UGA to USC.

Terry is the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect, No. 2 defensive lineman and No. 2 recruit from Georgia in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He initially committed to Georgia more than a year ago. Early Sunday morning, the news broke of his decision to flip to the West Coast.

“Coming from a small town I wanted to expand my life as much as possible, and I felt like USC is the right place to do that,” Terry told On3. “They have the No. 1 business school in the country, and I want to study business entrepreneurship.”

The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder also got to spend a lot of time with defensive line coach Eric Henderson, who has been leading his recruitment since coming over from the L.A. Rams. He has seen what Henderson can do at the highest levels and wants to be part of that.

“Coach Henny is good with developing players and I want to be a part of this journey with him,” Terry added. “I trust his coaching and the way he plans on utilizing me.”

Terry is the second five-star commitment for the Trojans this cycle, joining fellow Georgian Julian Lewis on USC’s commitment board. His recruitment still has almost nine months to go though, and the Bulldogs won’t stop their efforts to get him back.

For now, he’s committed to the Trojans though.

“I will be taking all my OVs,” he said. “Georgia is still in it, and it’s all love with them.”
