Georgia 4-star QB commit Ryan Puglisi headed back to Athens
Avon (Conn.) Old Farms four-star quarterback and Georgia commit Ryan Puglisi will be back in Athens this week , he tells On3.
Puglisi will be on campus for three days, April 11-13, and will get a chance to not only be a recruit but also a recruiter. The Bulldogs are expected to have a number of top targets in town that Puglisi would like to add to the class. While other programs have pursued him since his commitment, he remains set with UGA.
“I’m locked in with Georgia. I’m not going anywhere,” he said.
Puglisi was originally recruited by and committed to former offensive coordinator Todd Monken before he left for the NFL. Since his departure, Puglisi has talked to new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo every day and says he doesn’t feel much difference between he and former OC .
“Coach Bobo is a great guy,” Puglisi said last month. “I love everything about him when it comes to football, and outside of football. He is a family guy, and he loves Georgia football. They (Bobo and Monken) are pretty similar. I think they both have a similar mindset on the way they think and coach.”
Georgia looking to lock in another top quarterback
Despite having a commitment from Puglisi, the Bulldogs are still recruiting Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Dylan Raiola. The competition, though, is something Puglisi welcomes.

“It doesn’t really mean much because I know whether I go to anywhere in the country, I’m gonna have to battle whether he’s ahead of me or he’s behind me,” he said last month. “I don’t think it really bothers me. … They’ve been completely upfront with me.”
The quarterback doesn’t plan to visit any other schools right now, and has already locked in his official visit with the Bulldogs for the weekend of June 7.
Puglisi is the No. 144 overall prospect and No. 11 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Connecticut.
