WATCH: Stetson Bennett scores rushing touchdown amid injury update
After throwing a pass in the first half and getting hit on his throwing arm, Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett appeared to suffer a minor arm injury. Despite the injury visibly bothering him and working out with training staff on the sideline, Bennett remained in the game and continued to deliver — rushing in for a touchdown on an incredible juke move on the drive following the broadcast’s injury update.
Stetson Bennett scoring despite injury
Seeing their star quarterback continue to dominate on the field was a sigh of relief for Georgia fans who had just seen the broadcast show Bennett being checked over on the sideline. He appeared to injure his arm in some capacity after a throw that he was hit during, as Mississippi State linebacker Tyrus Wheat got a hit on his arm as the ball was released.
Shortly afterwards, the ESPN broadcast gave a quick update on Bennett as he appeared to be in discomfort.

“Stetson Bennett spent a lot of time stretching and testing the mobility of his right arm on the sideline. He used a massage gun, had athletic training staff massage his forearm and showed some visible discomfort. So his right arm is definitely bothering him. Something to keep an eye on.”
Bennett then proceeded to lead the Georgia offense down the field and cap off the drive with an absolutely tough move for the score. Bennett began to rush it outside before stopping and faking a step to the inside — leaving the rival Bulldog defender jumping out of his shoes.
