Former Texas A&M wide receiver Noah Thomas has committed to Georgia out of the NCAA transfer portal per Rusty Mansell. He entered the portal on Jan. 1.

Thomas played three seasons with the Aggies. In 2024, he logged a career-high 39 catches for 574 yards and eight touchdowns, coming out to 14.7 yards per catch. In his career, Thomas has 73 catches for 984 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Before college, Thomas was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2022, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 57 overall prospect in the state, the No. 65 wide receiver in the class and the No. 379 overall prospect in the class.

Thomas battled through injuries in 2023. In the end, it made him a better player this past season and he should be sought after in the portal.

“It was tough but everyone’s a little banged up during the season,” Thomas said before his junior season. “I had a different scenario, but, yeah, it was tough. I got to go through some adversity. One once in a while … It was a little battle that I had to get through, but I’m good now.

“I feel great. I’m back to my speed. I’m back to my strengths. So, I feel better than ever.”

That turned out to be the case, as Thomas’ career-high stat line in 2024 proves. He’ll look to build on that in 2025 with the Bulldogs, who are coming off an SEC Championship and College Football Playoff appearance this past season.

Despite transferring within the same conference, Thomas will not play against his former team during the 2025 season.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.

That means roughly 25 percent of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
