Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken is set to interview with the Baltimore Ravens for a second time on Friday, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Monken has also interviewed for the opening with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 56-year-old coach has spent significant time in the NFL, including with the Buccaneers. Before taking the job at Georgia ahead of the 2020 season, Monken has spent the previous four seasons in the NFL. That includes three seasons as offensive coordinator for Tampa Bay and offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns for a year.

Jake Rowe of DawgsHQ provided some insight on Monken looking at the NFL earlier today in his notebook column.

Todd Monken not the only coach getting second interview with the Ravens

Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Dave Canales will have his second interview with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, according to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network.

If it is Monken that gets the job, he has the endorsement of many experts, including former NFL quarterback Greg McElroy. Recently, McElroy stated why he believes Monken would succeed at the next level.

“He has NFL pedigree,” McElroy said. “This is a guy that has been with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he’s been the coordinator with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he’s been with the Cleveland Browns. He’s been around the NFL in the past, and I really think he’s probably going to have a difficult decision to make because I think NFL teams, they definitely want him.

“Now, does he want to stick with Georgia? Or does he want to go to the NFL where the lifestyle and the quality of life is better than that of college? In college, you’re recruiting all the time. It’s a difficult gig, for sure. So if you can call plays up there in the show, most people would take advantage of that. But it’ll be interesting.”
