Top-50 2024 athlete Jamyri Cauley offered by Georgia
Dallas (Tex.) South Oak Cliff athlete Jamyri Cauley has become a well-known commodity in his home state, but it appears word is beginning to spread around the country about him.
On Tuesday, Cauley picked up an offer from defending national champion Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Cauley is drawing offers from colleges on both sides of the ball. While he was a star on offense as a sophomore, many around South Oak Cliff expect to see Cauley put his hand in the dirt by the time he plays on Saturdays.
He ranks as the country’s No. 49 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Cauley has also been tabbed as the No. 4 athlete in the sophomore class and No. 5 prospect in Texas.
With the addition of the Bulldogs today, Cauley has now eclipsed more than two dozen offers. Among the other programs pursuing him are SMU, Texas, TCU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.
Cauley is taking his recruitment slow, but has quietly made a few casual visits out to nearby SMU and took an unofficial to Texas. He also has family connections to Texas A&M.

Jamyri Cauley on early contenders
On Texas: “It was fun to take my first real unofficial visit. To get that experience was fun.”
On SMU: “It was lit. It’s great energy out there. It was lit. They had receivers bigger than me. It’s my hometown, so why not show love? It (the practice) is different from ours, but it’s way better and it looks fun.”
On Texas A&M: “The offer was good. I like them because my cousin went to A&M. Derel Walker is my big cousin and he liked it was said it was good. He wants me to go to A&M, but I don’t know. I visited with him, but that was a long time ago.”
