Somto Cyril, a four-star center out of Overtime Elite in the 2024 class, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Cyril was officially released from his National Letter of Intent to UK earlier this month following the departure of former Wildcats head coach John Calipari to Arkansas. Cyril was initially the first prospect to pledge to Kentucky’s 2024 recruiting class.

He took an official visit to UGA over a week ago. Georgia head coach Mike White currently has one class of 2024 commit locked in: five-star power forward Asa Newell.

Per On3’s Joe Tipton, Cyril will go through the 2024 NBA Draft process, but only in order to receive feedback.

Cyril Scouting Report

“Somto Cyril is a premier rim protector, one of the best in the country, regardless of class. He has a great frame, strong shoulders, and very long arms. He battles around the basket, a good rebounder both in and out of his area. Cyril is still raw offensively; his hands are solid with balls thrown above his chest. He does not provide much offense outside of ten feet; he is a rim runner, dunker spot type—difference-maker on the defensive end, and violently tries to dunk everything around the rim.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
