No. 2 Georgia is cruising this weekend in a home game against hapless Auburn, though the Bulldogs still aren’t quite firing on all cylinders after a couple so-so outings the few weeks.

The Bulldogs led 21-3 nearing the end of the third quarter, with the Tigers unable to get much going.

With the sun setting on Sanford Stadium, Uga X was seen relaxing in his dog house taking in the game. Ironically, CBS cameras honed in on Uga X right as its trivia question popped up asking fans what the highest-scoring game in Auburn-Georgia history was.

Spoiler: It’s not today’s game.

But, hey, everyone loves a good boy, right? Uga X took over as Georgia’s mascot in 2015, and he’s had a good run of things.

Uga X has gotten to see the program’s rise under head coach Kirby Smart, who guided Georgia to its first national championship in more than 40 years last season.

Georgia cruising toward its bye week still unbeaten

The likely win for Georgia on Saturday sets up a probable showdown with SEC East rival Florida at the end of October with the Bulldogs unbeaten.

Georgia still has one more game to go before then, hosting Vanderbilt next weekend before a bye prior to the trip to Jacksonville, Fla.

As noted above, Smart’s Bulldogs haven’t quite been firing on all cylinder, but injuries have played a part in that of late. Receiver Adonai Mitchell has been limited since suffering an injury in Week 2 against Samford.

He appears to be getting closer to full health.

Meanwhile, tight end Arik Gilbert, who appeared in the first two games of the season but has not played since, suited up on Saturday against the Tigers. Through the first three quarters Gilbert had not recorded any stats in the game.
