Georgia DL Warren Brinson starts Instagram Live during Orange Bowl
All things considered, the Orange Bowl was over early in the game. Georgia came out firing and has not looked back, well on their way to a win by 60+ points. Even with the backups in, the Bulldogs have been able to move the ball up and down the field, dismantling Florida State.
The celebrations have certainly begun while the game is still ongoing and we were even brought down to the sideline during the fourth quarter. Georgia defensive lineman Warren Brinson started an Instagram Live while on the bench. In the screenshot captured, Brinson was next to a teammate and a staffer was in the background.
Amy Zimmer of WJCL was able to catch the moment, saying Brinson was seen shaking his head. A crazy move we do not see in college football too often. You can check it out below.
Brinson has been a key player for Georgia this season, playing in all 13 games and even earning three starts. Heading into the Orange Bowl matchup, the defensive lineman had recorded 19 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks.
Now, the Instagram Live did not occur when the game was still in doubt. At the time, Georgia was up 63-3 in the fourth quarter. Everyone in the comments was a little surprised he was live on the field during the game, though.

How will Kirby Smart feel about this? I guess we have the opportunity to find out during his postgame press conference if a reporter asks him. No matter what the head coach says, it’s great entertainment for us sitting back at home.
Georgia dominates Orange Bowl against Florida State
The only reason Brinson had the opportunity to go live on Instagram was because he was done playing in the game. Late in the fourth quarter, Georgia was emptying out the bench in ways they likely never have in the Smart era. In fact, it was the largest win in the history of the bowl system, beating out last year’s national championship game.
Leading into the matchup, a lot was made surrounding Florida State not being included in the College Football Playoff. I’m sure even Georgia would make an argument for their team being one of the four best.
But how things went down in Miami is separate from the CFP discussion. Georgia went out there and arguably played their best game of the season, putting on a clinic in front of the college football world.
