WATCH: Georgia running back Zamir White rips off a 42-yard touchdown run vs. Florida
The Georgia Bulldogs have been dominating their opponents all season long, but they hadn’t had a 100-yard rusher until this afternoon against the Florida Gators.
With just over two minutes minutes remaining in the game, Bulldog running back Zamir White ripped off a 42-yard touchdown run against the Gators.

He made a Florida defender miss in the backfield and then once he was in the open field, it was off to the races.
With the run, White eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark and pushed his rushing total to 105 rushing yards on the afternoon. The touchdown score put the Bulldogs up 34-7 with 1:57 left in the game. That’s how it would end as Florida simply couldn’t find any way to move the football against the historically good Georgia defense.
Georgia Defense
The Bulldogs defense continues to put themselves in such an elite class, they very well could be the best defense in college football history once the 2021 season is complete.
Nick Kayal on Twitter posted a stat noting the Miami Hurricanes‘ defense of 2001 only surrendered 103 points in 11 games. The 2021 version of the Georgia defense has only allowed 46 points in eight games.

Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean showed off his incredible hands, speed, and instincts when he snatched a pass from Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson and took it 50-yards for the touchdown.

The pick six gave Georgia a commanding 24-0 lead at the end of the first half and the game was never remotely close the rest of the way.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was fired up after the 34-7 win and Jamie Erdahl of CBS sports got the headman started when she asked, “Do you love watching this defense play?”
“I have fun watching these guys practice. These guys go about their meetings and practice everyday so serious, taking notes, getting nuggets. Their coaches do an awesome job but these kids right here. They’re special,” said Smart.
This Georgia defense will stamp its rightful place in college football history once the season is done. It will be fun to see where their stats are at the end of the year.
