The running backs are running through drills tonight in the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine on NFL Network. They are putting on a show. James Cook, the younger brother of Dalvin Cook, ran his first 40-yard dash a few minutes ago. His time was pretty quick, an unofficial time of 4.50.

Watch it below.

It turns out, the timer once again made several mistakes on Friday night for the running backs. The NFL released the official 40-times on their website and Cook was much faster than 4.50. His official time was 4.42, tying him for 8th place among the class of 2022 running backs at the combine.

The former Georgia star looked remarkably smooth and fluid in a variety of pass-catching drills on Friday night, as well. Not only was his 4.42 fast, but it was faster than his older brother Dalvin Cook, who ran a 4.49 when he ran at the combine.

While the younger Cook might not be able to carry the same workload as his older brother, he is undoubtedly electrifying as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. This season, James Cook received an 83.4 receiving grade from PFF, ranking him fourth in the nation.
