Saturday’s game will be a special one for the Georgia Bulldogs. The game will serve as Senior Day for Georgia, honoring the seniors on this year’s team. Ahead of the game against Charleston Southern, senior defensive lineman Jordan Davis sets the stage by narrating Georgia’s Senior Day hype video.

Davis, standing at 6’6 and 340 pounds, is a massive forced on the interior defensive line for Georgia. He has established himself as one of the most dominant defensive forces in college football. On the season, Davis has 23 tackles and two sacks, but he makes huge impacts that don’t show up on the typical stat sheet.

Winning on Senior Day would move Georgia one step closer to finishing undefeated

Entering Saturday’s game, Georgia is a perfect 10-0 on the year and 8-0 against SEC opponents. Charleston Southern is 4-5 on the season. Georgia has already locked up a spot in the SEC Championship, and the Bulldogs have been sitting at the top of every major poll for the majority of the season.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart would love to get another win on Senior Day and to ultimately finish the regular season unbeaten. That would likely set up an intriguing SEC Championship game against Alabama. While there is still plenty of football left to play, Smart is happy with what he’s seen from his squad thus far. But he knows that the job isn’t done.

“That’s where we’ve gotten,” Smart told reporters after beating Tennessee. “It makes no guarantee for what’s going to happen in the future. We’ve got a lot of guys that we’ve got to try to get better and improve. We’ve got to tackle better, a lot of things we can work on to get better. You know what I love? The men in that locker room beside me. They all know that.

“Nobody thinks they’ve arrived. [We have] things we can work on to get better at and they’ll continue to do it. But tonight? They went through a tough gauntlet in our league and played well.”

Saturday’s kickoff between Georgia and Charleston Southern is set for 12 noon ET. Georgia then has a quick road trip to Georgia Tech to wrap up the regular season next week.
